Powerful prayers
What a week, hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend and was blessed as you contemplated on what Jesus did so many years ago for you on the cross. As usual when I go into a wilderness time the devil thinks he has to attack me. Why I really don’t know because I suppose he just wants to steal our joy. My pc blew up there was a short somewhere and it just shut down. Have to have it fixed but all my notes and books etc are on that harddrive. Lucky for me I have backup of everything except the very latest notes. I long ago realized that we are open targets for the devil and he loves to come and rattle our cages, so I dedicated all my stuff to God, so when the pc blew up I just told God that His pc needs repairs, so I don’t have to loose my joy or worry where I am going to get the money to fix or replace it, because it is now His problem. Don’t you just love serving a loving Father who always takes care of His children, Hallelujah, maybe it was time for an upgrade .
So I am stuck on my son’s pc and have to rely on my dvd’s backup to do my work until the Father has the pc fixed. So you see God even had a back up pc for me to use, I think the devil is a bit peeved that he has not rattled my cage. But enough of that, we need to pray for all the people that were injured in the bomb blasts and the crew and passengers on a jet liner that is being held hostage. My son blessed me by buying the movie on DSTV for me to view called THE WAR ROOM. Please make an effort to see that movie it is amazing and the acting is really good, and the message is amazing too, I am sure everyone will take away something from the movie to enrich their lives. The main theme is spiritual warfare, something I have not really been doing but really need to start doing again. I want to talk about powerful prayers. I think my friends used to cringe when I started praying powerful prayers, I think they thought I was overstepping my authority, or that God would strike me with a lightning bolt from heaven. Lol.
Way before I knew about spiritual warfare and taking authority over demons, I was in a situation where a witch had sent a demon, to my house, she was mad at me for not taking seriously the messages she sent via my family member, who visited her in the hopes of getting the right numbers to play on the horses or something. Anyway I declined to listen to her messages of attacks on my husband at work, by thugs. So she sent this thing to my house. It manifested in a dark cloud and was even trying to kill me by lifting me up off my bed and trying to drop me, but I had heard somewhere that demons go when you say “Go away in Jesus Name” it left but came back as I had no knowledge as to how to pray a hedge around my house. I moved my bedroom and made it the lounge, but it sat in my chair, it also broke everything in the house that was made out of glass. One evening I had, had enough and I walked to the door of the lounge and putting my hands on my hips I said “ My God’s muti is stronger than yours, go back to the person that sent you and tell her that I say My God is more powerful than you, in Jesus Name.” later that week the family member came back and said “she died” I was horrified when I learnt that she died a few minutes after I sent that thing back. For years I repented to God, saying I was sorry, I never meant for her to die, I felt that I had her blood on my hands. Until years later I realized that it was not my fault, I was exercising my right to command demons to go in Jesus Name, what they did after that is not our business or fault, that person should not have dabbled with such evil in the first place, they get what they deserve.
Did I learn my lesson of being careful what I pray or say when I am using the authority that God has given to us through the blood and Name of Jesus. You would think so, but one day seeing Hari Chrishna praying to a rock, pouring honey and flowers over it, just made my blood boil. We serve such an amazing God, why would anyone worship a dead piece of rock. This rock was dislodged while they were busy building a road and overhead highway somewhere in America. I picked up a burden to pray against this rock, now that did not make any sense, except that I felt that if God would destroy it they could not worship it. Every time I went into a prayer session at our home church, this burden would hit me, and I would cry out to God to destroy it, much to my embarrassment and try as I would I just could not shut up, it was as if God Himself was praying through me, powerful intercessory prayer would come out of the depth of my soul. This kept on for several months, then one day I stood up off my knees and cried out “God destroy that rock in Jesus Name” and the burden lifted. To my horror the next morning on TV news came the word “earthquake in ……” and I saw the highway buckled and fallen on cars and I wanted to go and crawl into cave and never come out. I cried out to God “ How could you? People were injured, maybe even dead” I decided there and then I would be very careful how I pray in the future. A few days later there was a news article where people came and testified how God had saved them during the event, telling them not to go to work that day, or amazing rescues and people giving God the Glory. Well I felt a little better, but still resolved not to pray POWERFUL PRAYERS, or what I perceived as Dangerous prayers. I was given a book to read dealing with the tongue based on the book of James. I realized that God wanted us to pray powerful prayers, I read how people’s lives were saved because God had called up intercessors across the globe to pray for a situation and lives were indeed saved because of those faithful prayer warriors. I felt a little better but for a while I was reluctant to pray into situations that required such power.
But as time went on from time to time I was requested to pray into situations, a fire on the way down the mountain, on the way to a friend’s brand new house. What to do? I had learnt that it was not my responsibility so I turned to a friend His name is Holy Spirit, I asked what should I pray and He said “pray that the fire turns back onto itself” so I commanded that fire to do just that and a short while later came the reply “ the fire had turned back itself and burnt out. Then I saw a huge hurricane develop in the sea and once again I asked my friend, the Holy Spirit and He said “ pray that it will die down into a breeze” so I did that and later that evening the report came the hurricane had dissipated into a breeze and the surfers were enjoying the waves.
I like praying powerful prayers, don’t you it is such fun destroying the plans of the devil for destruction and giving God all the Glory. Don’t be afraid to pray powerful prayers, just ask your friend the Holy Spirit what to pray and then command that thing in Jesus Name. I hope to hear lots of testimonies of how God used you in praying powerful prayers in His name. Be blessed

One night with the frogs

One more night with the frogs
I recently read a book about one more night with the frogs. We tend to read the bible and skim over the little words because they don’t seem to be relevant. Twice this month I have had revelation about words in the bible that did not seem to make sense or meant nothing to me until God highlighted it. You do know that He always confirms His word and rewards the seeker. I prayed for more wisdom and as we always need wisdom when we are reading His Word. The first one was in Jeremiah, I never even took notice of an incident that happened when he was thrown in prison and God had told him to tell the king to hand himself and the people over to the enemy that was coming in. The king said “no! Don’t want to listen to your word; it is not encouraging, hand myself over to the enemy! What nonsense, throw this man into jail, until he brings me a word that says that God will come to our rescue” It often happens that I have to bring a word to someone, but it is not the word they want to hear, so they reject it, which is so sad because if only they listened to the word and did what the Lord said Blessings would follow. So when I watched the movie called Jeremiah I noticed that he was told by God that his cousin would come and sell him a piece of land and he had to buy it. That did not make any sense as they were about to be taken into captivity, what I did not understand was that it was not about the land or the sale, but it was about God confirming to Jeremiah that the word He gave him was true. I think after he was thrown into jail, he may have doubted and this was God’s way of confirming to him that he had heard the truth. Amazing what you find in the scriptures if you search!!!
But back to the frogs, I can relate to that as we have tons of frogs here, they croak us to sleep at night, they jump all over the house and I have to chase them and catch them and throw them back out, my husband even woke up one morning and found one in his shoe! He was not impressed. Moses was getting very discouraged as time after time he brought God’s curses on the Egyptians and the Pharaoh kept on hardening his heart. Imagine being an Egyptian, having frogs everywhere, in your food, in your bed, imagine turning over in the night wanting a kiss your bride and kissing a frog instead. Trying to take a bath with hundreds of frogs swimming in the water. Even walking around the house was difficult trying not to step onto a frog. Frogs in your plate when you are about to eat your meal. Exodus 8:1-4 Big slimy, wriggling, noisy they must have been complaining heavily to Pharaoh to save them from this plague. At last he relented and called for Moses.
“What can I do for you” Moses asked. “Pray to your God and ask Him to remove these pesky frogs!” “Oh” said Moses “when do you want them removed?” and the Pharaoh said “Tomorrow!!!” did you see that, he did not ask for them to be removed immediately no he was prepared to spend ONE MORE NIGHT with the frogs. Moses said,
Be it according to thy word: that you may know that there is none like unto the LORD our God.
He had been given a choice – Moses said “when” so he could have said “now immediately” and it would have been done. Do you put up with problems sent to you by the devil longer than you need to? Do you procrastinate when it comes to your faith? Have you decided to spend “one more night with the frogs?” Often when I pray for people, they say “I hope God answers soon” what they are really saying is “I will spend one more night with this frog” Well Hoping does not get rid of frogs.
‘It’s faith in God that changes circumstances. It’s obedience to His Word that brings results. Faith is a force, and you have to use it to see it work. Think of it like this: Hope is a good blueprint, but it’s always in the future. Hope may draw up the plans, but it’s faith that builds the house. Too many people put off their answer until “tomorrow.” They need God’s help desperately at that moment but say “tomorrow” when God is saying, “…behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Cor. 6:2).Faith is in the NOW. Unfortunately, a lot of people can’t believe that something can start happening immediately. They don’t realize how faith works, and so they put off receiving the answer to their prayer by “hoping” instead of “faithing.”When you “hope” that God will save your loved ones and answer all of your prayers, you’re probably just wishing….and wishing doesn’t get anything done. You may think that you need more faith, but the truth is, you just need to use the little bit that you’ve got! Get daring with your faith in God. Get bold! Go beyond the realm of hope by stopping yourself from the typical Christian procrastination. Why put off your answer until tomorrow? Why not get into the realm of the NOW? Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Hebrews 11:1-2
Refuse to Spend Another Night With the Frogs. By the words of his own mouth, Pharaoh spent one more night with the frogs. Moses gave him a choice when he said, “Be it according to thy word.” You have a choice too. Throughout the Bible, you can find references to the power of faith and the spoken word. Jesus consistently taught that we should “speak” to our problems—the waves, the wind, the mountain, or to whatever is trying to shake us up or get in our way. We have the power to command change. If you keep saying, “It doesn’t look like we’ll ever do anything.” You’re right, you won’t do anything! When you begin to study the Word, you will find out that it really doesn’t matter what circumstances say. God’s Word is the final authority, and when you use it in faith, it can produce miraculous change.’ (taken from the book by Jesse du Plantis” )
So I hope you have been encouraged in your quest of getting rid of your frog, whatever that may be. Speak to your mountain! When I discovered that my goiter was not working as it should I spoke to it, and over the next few weeks I lost all the extra weight that had been added to my body. Don’t spend another night with your frogs, choose to believe God’s Word and send me reports of how you dared to declare freedom from your frog. Amen.

She tithed herself out of a dire situation

SHE TITHED HERSELF OUT OF A DIRE SITUATION.
I want to share with you a remarkable story of faith in God’s provision. About two years ago I met a lady online she joined my email list. Although I never personally met her, she shared with me her dire circumstances. First a nasty divorce, then she had to stay with her daughter, and I think she felt that she was imposing on them, her income was limited as she had a small business which brought in only small amounts as it was seasonal. She had an outlet for her business but it was not doing well. She asked for desperate prayers to be made, and I encouraged her as best I could online. Many emails, and later phone messages as she clung to her faith, and shared her desperate need. We started to pray together, sent many encouraging prayers and scripture and teachings, as the Lord led. Cried together to the Lord and stood on His word, believing God for a miracle.
Then one day she asked for my bank details and started to tithe into Hadassah Ministry, at first it was just a few Rand, and nothing seemed to be happening. Then all of a sudden the tithes came more frequently and the amounts grew. With it her faith grew, we thanked and praised God for what He was doing and we were overjoyed at how the business grew. Then she kept on saying something about meeting someone but did not elaborate and I was hopeful that God was opening another door for her.
Then suddenly she stopped tithing, but said she had great news and she really wanted to share it with me, but I waited and waited and she said nothing. I still prayed that God would help her out of her desperate situation. One day she contacted me and told me that she was leaving for AUSTRALIA. WOW! So God had opened a door, and I waited with bated breath to hear more, but sadly she never told me how that happened, and the last contact she sent me a message on my phone. “on my way to Johannesburg, via Dubai, on my way to Australia” I sent a message back asking her to email me when she can. I do hope she contacts me and tells me how God took her from desperation to stepping into a new destiny.
I believe that the scripture I stood on for her was: Matthew 18:20 For wherever two or three are gathered (drawn together as My followers) in My name, there I AM in the midst of them. (amp) But I think she also stood on Malachi 3:10 Bring all the tithes (the whole tenth of your income) into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now by it, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.On every sale no matter how small it was she tithed, faithfully, and she proved the Lord to open the window of heaven for her, she tithed herself out of her situation. Now that is an amazing testimony of walking in faith. She tithed herself out of a desperate situation into a destiny. What an answer to a desperate prayer.
I wish her well in her new country and hope she will continue to be obedient to God’s word and continually walk in His favor. I thank Father for this answered prayer and a testimony of His goodness. As I did not get her permission to use her name I have refrained from giving it. I hope she contacts me then I will get her to give us her side of the story. I hope it encourages those of you that are going through dire situations, be it health, jobs, money, depression, no matter what it is take a step today and TRUST God for your miracle. I know that Prayer works. I still have a prayer altar that I put all the prayer requests in and lift up before Pappa every time I pray. I believe that if we are faithful He will be faithful. When Moses’ arms grew weary of holding them up in prayer, two guys came alongside and helped to hold them up UNTIL THE VICTORY CAME. She tithed herself into victory. It took great courage to keep tithing on each sale, when she did not even have enough to pay her rent, but she tested God and He came through. Today trust God with your tithe and see if He does not open the windows of heaven for you.
I just want to say thank you to all of you who prayed for rain, it has been raining on and off the whole of last week and now it is overcast again with the promise of more, keep praying and thanking God for His rain, because it is more than just physical, I sense that He wants to pour out His spiritual rain in this place. He gave me a prophetic word which said He is sending re-enforcements, angelic warriors, seems there is going to be a battle in the spirit realm. I was sitting with my feet in the pool, and I sensed His presence and He said” come and walk on the water with me” mmm I thought no way am I going to step out on that water, but then I said “Lord I am already out of the boat, roaring to go I just need to know which direction” He is really stretching me in this wilderness time. Then I had two dreams of stairs, a train, a movie. Stairs are going to a new level, a train is a large ministry, and movie means He is going to show me something. Sounds interesting, can’t wait to start my new assignment.
I asked Him for a sign to tell me what I am doing here in this wilderness, then I went outside and there in a palm tree was the sign of a fish, two branches hung down and formed the sign of the fish, and op top a whole bunch of fruit (seeds), now is that not amazing. When the Lord called me He spoke audibly to me and said “you will be a fisher of men” well I am about to step into a new assignment and so I am going fishing for men’s souls. Now is that not an awesome sign from Him.
I give God all the love, honor and Glory as He is faithful and loves us all with an everlasting love.

Third lesson from the wilderness – authority before the Lord

The Third lesson from the wilderness is – Authority, before the Lord.
Righteousness and justice is about authority.
What if the biggest problem in our country right now is not drugs, crime, etc, what if there is not enough goodness? What if we are not doing enough goodness each day? What if our churches are not doing enough acts of goodness in our community? Does your community know that you exist, or that your church exists? What if there are not enough people standing up for righteousness and justice. Evil prospers when good people do nothing. Why does evil prosper? The church is asleep in the light. There is upon us a spirit of righteousness to stand up against the oppressed, to stand up in our communities.
We walk with the biggest territorial spirit on the planet His name is Jesus.
We are not here to bring down the stronghold of the enemy it is not our job, our job is to bring down the presence of God into our midst. Do not go looking for the enemy; we are seekers after God nobody else. We are seeking the Lord and when we find him and he comes to us and the enemy comes looking for us, when you get God into your midst, he’ll show up. The enemy hates you with a malignancy and malevolence that is beyond belief, but he is not stupid he will not chase you into the Holy of Holies, because if he knocks on that door, it won’t be you opening the door.
Abraham is a man that stands for absolute righteousness but he is going to have to learn to go into the future and bring back the righteousness and authority to do justice back here in the present time and God gives him this great opportunity, the situation in Sodom. We are getting to the point where God wants to give him a practical demonstration of exactly what I mean. He wants to teach him one step at a time, the full extent of his favor, intimacy and authority. On the surface Abraham appears to be fearful even anxious like he’s not even sure, he’s suppose to be doing this, so I think there is a natural and a spiritual humility at work here in him. But also he is willing to push the envelope, he is willing to press out in this place and see how much of a dialogue he can have with God. The antidote to your own inadequacy is always vulnerability before God. God chose you because you were weak and foolish. He chose people who had a history of screwing up. He chose people who seldom learn from their lessons, always repeated their history, aren’t you glad. Don’t try to feel strong simply relax into your weakness and use it constructively. Father thank you that I am weak and you are my strength. Abraham was exploring the invitation God has handed to him, so he makes 6 separate requests of God in this incident. You do not make 6 separate requests in the same issue unless the spiritual climate around you is conducive to intimate favor. Something happened in the spirit around Abraham that gave him confidence that he could keep pressing with God. See God creates that environment around you so that you can explore the extent of your favor the extent of your intimacy and influence and therefore your authority and he is realizing something of the extent of the favor that is on him. It is a moment of incredible intimacy and inclusion with God. Abraham does not know where the boundary is because the Lord did not say there was one. He just said keep talking. but he has to move out, God does not tell you where the line is because if He told you where the line is, you would go right up to it and say “well that’s it”
If God doesn’t tell you where the line is it’s because he doesn’t want you to know. If you cross it, He’ll tell you. He wants you to keep moving out. It’s like in the whole area of spiritual gifts it says there are a variety of gifts, a variety of ministries but he does not tell you what they are because He does not want you to know. He wants you to keep exploring.
So God begins to talk about Sodom and Gomorrah right and Abraham is beginning to enter into this place, he knows that God has come down because there is a stench in His nostrils and He has come down to see what all the trouble is about and Abraham feels in the spirit that He has come down to do something as it is pretty serious, pretty heavy so he’s thinking so how can I avoid the whole place from being incinerated. So he thinks to himself if only I could change His mind so he says “ if you could find 50” He chooses a really low number because he has been down to Sodom – he gets his groceries there and pays his phone bill and all that stuff. He’s been down there and it’s pretty rough, pretty raw. So he says if you find 50 righteous could you not destroy, could you not leave it alone. The thing is he is really jealous about God’s reputation.
It says in verse 23 Abraham came near – which means he came into his intimacy. He came into that intimate place –
He is coming into that place of righteousness and authority, but he is jealous for God. He has a passion for God’s reputation and the Lord said “ok if I find 50 righteous I won’t destroy the place” Abe is thinking shucks – I did not think He would agree so quick now he’s worried thinking what if there isn’t so he’s thinking, there’s Pete and Mary and Luke, James, Reuben shoe! Hmm so he has a quick think and he humbles himself.
“So I have ventured to speak to the Lord though I am but dust and ashes…”
He is on his way here to territory he has never been before feeling humble, he is feeling his way, but he is still pressing –now you know God loves that, so he goes “suppose there are 45 and the Lord says “oh ok – 45 is good, I like 45 great” Abraham is thinking shoe! Or words to that affect I could be on to something here but the thing is he is interacting with God in the area of righteousness.
He makes a direct faith request; there is no humility in his request. He says “suppose there are 40 found there – straight in this time. The Lord says ok 40 – 40 is cool, good number” what surprises us is that the extent of our favor takes us by surprise. You have got to explore this thing. You have to take this thing on the road. Now he takes a gamble he is about to increase the stakes He is going to double them from 5 to 10 – what is he doing – he is seriously checking out his favor, intimacy and authority. You know that you have absolute permission to do that. God says everything is yes and amen in Christ. He says that before He even knows what your question is.
He tries this out from 5 to 10 and we don’t get there because we have never tried expansiveness before. We have never had incredible generosity in our lives before. We are out there and we are unsure because we are normally timid and unsure and procrastinating and thinking small. It is a big education to start thinking big. The enemy makes us scared of presumption, but we have to go through the thought process that this might be presumption to arrive at a place of greater faith.
He is still trying to find out if there is a line out there. God still has not told him where the line is. Presumption is doing what you have not been invited to do. But he has an invitation here. If you go to a wedding you do not ask if you really should be there, you have an invitation. He is exploring the nature and the force of the invitation that has been given to him – you see when God gives you a word about your destiny and your future there is an invitation enshrined within that word. You have to go and take that out for a spin. How fast can I get this sucker up to, how far can I go with the thing You can go as far and as high and as deep as you want to go because all the obstacles have been removed in Christ. Think about that hey! He’s exploring the territory and he makes a faith decision to up the anti. On God you cannot be fearful and exhibit faith, fear and faith cannot exist in the same time, one of them has to go and you get to choose.
Always pay attention to a vacuum. A vacuum is an open space THAT GOD DOES NOT FILL – It has to be filled BY YOU – and you know if you do not fill it SOMEBODY ELSE WILL.
A new level always has places to occupy and if you don’t explore in faith you actually make room for unbelief. It is so important to explore the Word of God over your life. God marks out new boundaries when He gives you a new word. There is a new invitation and a new invitation is about fresh permission.
V 31 … I have ventured to speak to the Lord
Suppose 20 are found there and He said “I will not destroy on account of 20.
I have ventured to speak – venture means literally to take the risk in front of me – faith is spelt – RISK – I dare to journey with God – I expose myself to the possibility of failure at this new level so that I can explore the parameters of the invitation that God has given me. Other versions may say I take it upon myself to speak. Take what upon yourself? – My destiny, my favor, my intimacy, my authority and out of that place of invitation. I am going to make a request Father. “And the Father said “good that’s what I want” you cannot win unless you risk defeat. A team that is afraid to lose can never win. Abraham makes the same faith request on that level and again amazingly he makes another request. He is still on guard against presumption, but he still wants to explore the invitation. You always have that twin thing going on – is this ok but I want to press this thing out and the Lord says “ you press it out and I’ll tell you when to stop, don’t stop when you think it is presumptuous, you stop when I tell you to stop. I don’t want you to know where the line is because I want you to keep on pressing me, keep pushing into my heart, and keep pushing into my permission and the invitation push into your destiny.
Then he speaks again and says this is the last time and I’m done – it’s like he reached the place of exhaustion and that’s ok “suppose there are only 10 “ and the Lord just grins at him and says “ 10 – cool” he might even have gone down to 1 who knows? He might as well have said” Abraham if you get a hotel room in Sodom I might just spare the place.” You don’t know hey! But you get a sense here that Abraham is at his own limit and that’s ok because he has actually taken a lot of ground yeah! This is my last time and I’m done but he is so far ahead of where he had started he’s nervous, he’s feeling his weakness not his favor that’s ok. Good job Abraham looks at how far you’ve come man – you pressed out right there – you knocked the Lord down from 50 to 10. That’s a good deal in any business. To make 1 request was good to make 2 requests would have been bold to make 6 is flipping outrageous. It represents a quantum leap of faith and favor and intimacy and authority like Peter in the boat – he makes a quantum leap from the natural to the supernatural. If you take a huge step of faith or small steps at a time you still have to get out there hey!
We have to learn that God has given us authority to ask of heaven any request no matter how outrages it may sound. When I felt the calling of God on my life I said “ God I want to serve you – then I stepped into that authority and said “but I want to serve you radically!” and God said “sure and I thought there was a line but He keeps on moving it and I keep on pressing in, I hope these three lessons have helped you to build your faith to use your authority in God to get to your destiny. The past three lessons are from Graham Cooke’s teaching about the wilderness, lessons that I revisit every wilderness time, because each time I learn new lessons to help me in my assignment.
I received an audio message from my friend Marie who received it from a lady at her church, this lady had a vision of the throne room and saw Jesus, heard an angel blow the trumpet and then Jesus said “ Tell my people the time is gone, there is no more time, there is no more time to play, repent and give your heart to the Lord.” Tell people that there is no more time.
